Carolyn Hunter

Carolyn is a Sydney based artist who was born and grew up in the UK. She was awarded a Bachelor of Visual Arts through Sydney University in 2002 and has had her sculptures recognised on both the National and International stage.

Carolyn’s notable achievements include having her works selected for Bondi Beach’s Sculpture by The Sea; the Appliance Collaborative Sculpture Exhibition in Little Bay; Taupo Art Gallery’s exhibition, ‘Place’ in New Zealand; and, an instillation at Government House in Sydney.

Having travelled extensively in Australia, her love of nature gives her a deep appreciation of the unique qualities of the bush. Exploring the textures and patterns in nature through drawing, such as plants, rocks, trees and landform, she seeks to draw attention to the intricate detail in these natural forms.

Carolyn’s art has been the focal point of many exhibitions in Australia and overseas. Drawing and printmaking, mainly etching, are her preferred mediums.

She joined the Print Circle in 2017 and has exhibited annually with the group.
