Jan Moore

With a watercolour and mixed media background, Jan discovered the joy of Printmaking in 2002 and joined the Print Circle in 2006.

Collagraphs are her preferred medium. She combines these with monotypes, monoprints, chine colle and masking. Using many plates, she creates layer upon layer of colour, line, texture, tone and form with ‘qualities of viscosity and abstraction’ in the result.

This method can be unpredictable but rewarding.

 The completed unique images are colourful and emotive They reflect her joy and pleasure in the landscape, and her appreciation of the sometimes harsh but always beautiful country she has the good fortune to live in.

Jan has been an exhibiting Artist since 1994, with work in private collections in New Zealand, Canada, England and Australia. She has won several awards.
